RANDSBURG, CALIFORNIA is located between SoCal and the Sierra Nevada mountains. This historic mining area is also home to the California desert tortoise and a large military presence. With a residential population under 100, this high desert community sees most of its traffic on the weekends as tourists, campers, equestrians, motorcycles, quads and dirt bikers gather in this central location in the upper Mojave. Butte Avenue, the historic town center, features a real western saloon, several antique shops, a general store (with old fashioned soda fountain), two small inns, and the infamous "Joint" - where Olga and family members serve cocktails at the ultimate hole-in-the-wall. With minimal restaurants in town, visitors often find themselves driving to Ridgecrest for a meal or grocery shopping, so plan accordingly with your ice chest.
